UEAM
Part of Uppsalaekonomerna at Uppsala University, and since 2011 a place for students serious about equities.
Our purpose
The portfolio holds the society's own capital. Every position in it was proposed by a member, argued in front of the group, and signed off by a portfolio manager.
Members build the judgement a career in finance asks for by doing the work: analysis, pitches, argument and risk.

From idea to position, every week.
Members propose companies worth a closer look.
The equity analysts build the model and write it up.
The case is put to the group and defended.
The risk analysts test it against the portfolio.
The portfolio managers decide.
Three roles, each with its own responsibility.
They own the mandate: what the fund holds, what it sells and how much of each. The final call is theirs.
They take a company from an idea to a case: the model, the valuation, and the write-up the group argues over.
They test a case against the portfolio rather than on its own: what it adds, what it doubles up on, and what it costs if the thesis is wrong.
Leading financial institutions and an alumni network members can actually reach.
